Local-Mu12 Interview

Members of the collective Local-Mu12 stopped by Sirius XM to promote their debut album Everyday People. Spearheaded by producer/emcee/engineer Fokis, Local-Mu12 stands for Local Musicians United 2012 and is a membership-based organization of emcees, producers, and like-minded individuals that take advantage having power in numbers. Fokis introduced Detroit emcee Stryfe and Virginia artist J. Crenshaw as Local-Mu12 members who have contributed to the album Everyday People. The album includes additional guest appearances from Hip Hop greats such as Guilty Simpson, MC Eiht, Planet Asia, Ras Kass, Oh No, Sadat X, Torae, Edo. G, Smif-N-Wessun, Punchline, Shabaam Sahdeeq, Chi Ali, and more. Fokis talks about taking a step back from his rap career to work on his record label and help establish other artists with production, engineering, and artist development. In addition to Everyday People, Stryfe has released an album with Ohkang called Double OT Buck and Fokis released a solo album called Underground With Commercial Appeal.
