Prince Be (Attrell Cordes) from the R&B group PM Dawn recently passed away on June 17, 2016 at age 46 from complications with diabetes. The group’s breakout single “Set Adrift On Memory Bliss” debuted on the Billboard charts in 1991, eventually reaching #1 that year. PM Dawn released many other hits, including “Paper Doll”, “I’d Die Without You”, and “Looking Through Patient Eyes”. DJ Eclipse remembers Prince Be as a heavy vinyl digger and record collector in the local New York Hip Hop scene. Prince Be would make weekly visits into Fat Beats and purchase new records. He also produced songs for The Mood Swingers in the 90s. R.I.P. Prince Be.
